September is cat show time, again.
Since I was already working on a fire theme
for an installation I'm calling "Nostalghia",
I decided to run with it for the cat show, too.
Firestarter is enjoying some truly wild and wooly weather,
on the usually serene grounds of the KittyCats main store.
I was surprised to see no fewer than
3 tornadoes in the kittycats displays.
So far, "Firestarter", (AKA Eduardo),
appears to be the only cat harboring
a fondness for incendiary pleasures.
Brave Janet
Ivy Norsk's "Brave Janet"
'"Brave Janet travels through the gloom to rescue her love Tam Lin
from the Faerie Queen at the crossroads ("Miles Cross") at midnight.
Based on a scene from the Ballad of Tam Lin.
My favorite line, "I'll come and go by Carterhaugh and ask no leave of thee."
Janet is brave, never asks permission from men nor faeries, ventures forth
under harrowing conditions, and does not cave under pressure.'
